Project Week – Comparing Climate Images
Design students and students of European Media Studies from the Design Department at FH;P dealt with the comparison of climate images in a project week course from 5 to 19 October 2018. They examined the visual language of digital images on climate change both aesthetically and conceptually, and searched for the common third party using the central method of comparative vision. Based on our anci research project, purely human recognition and machine algorithms went hand in hand. The students also approached the topic in terms of design asking: What happens to subjective perception during comparison and how can such comparisons be visualized?
The project seminar was moderated by MA Janna Kienbaum and MA Paul Heinicker from the anci-team in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Frank Heidmann (Interface Design) and Prof. Dr. Marian Dörk (Urban Future) from the FH;P.
